Our Aims

What We Set Out to Do

IJournal exists to advance knowledge without disciplinary borders. We publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research that speaks to both specialists and informed general readers — work that is rigorous, relevant, and readable. We are particularly interested in manuscripts that draw on multiple disciplines, methodologies, or cultural perspectives to illuminate questions no single field can answer alone.

• Publish original, peer-reviewed research across eight broad discipline areas
• Promote interdisciplinary dialogue and methodological pluralism
• Amplify scholarship from the Global South and underrepresented regions
• Ensure all published work is freely accessible under CC BY 4.0
• Maintain rapid, rigorous double-blind peer review (target: 4–6 weeks)
• Assign CrossRef DOIs to ensure permanent discoverability of every article
• Uphold COPE guidelines and the highest standards of research ethics
• Provide constructive feedback to all authors, accepted or not

What We Do Not Publish

Out of Scope

To maintain focus and quality, the following types of submissions are outside our scope:

• Manuscripts previously published in whole or in part (including preprints presented as final work)
• Manuscripts simultaneously submitted to another journal
• Work that does not meet basic standards of scholarly rigour and citation
• Research involving human subjects that did not obtain appropriate ethical approval
• Opinion pieces, editorials, or commentary without scholarly apparatus
• Work that is purely descriptive without analytical or theoretical contribution
