Our Mission
Advancing Knowledge Without Boundaries
IJournal is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and scholarship across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, technology, and professional fields. Published from the United Kingdom with a truly global outlook, we are committed to making high-quality research accessible to scholars, practitioners, and policymakers everywhere.
We exist at the intersection of disciplines — where established fields meet emerging paradigms, where local insights gain global relevance, and where rigorous inquiry drives meaningful change. We believe that the most important discoveries often happen when knowledge crosses disciplinary borders.
Our Global Vision
IJournal envisions a world where geography, institutional affiliation, or financial constraints do not limit the production or consumption of knowledge. We are dedicated to building a global scholarly commons — a space where researchers from Lagos to London, from Seoul to São Paulo, contribute equally to humanity's collective understanding.
We are committed to representing the full diversity of global scholarship, actively seeking contributions from researchers in the Global South, emerging economies, and underrepresented academic traditions. IJournal actively promotes African, Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern scholarly perspectives alongside established Western academic traditions.
Our Values
Principles That Guide Everything We Do
Rigorous Scholarship
Double-blind peer review by domain experts. We maintain the highest standards of academic integrity at every stage of the publishing process.
Open Access
All published articles are freely available under CC BY 4.0. Knowledge belongs to everyone — not behind paywalls.
Interdisciplinary Dialogue
We actively encourage manuscripts that bridge traditional disciplinary boundaries and speak to multiple audiences simultaneously.
Ethical Publishing
Full compliance with COPE guidelines. Transparent peer review timelines, clear editorial decisions, and zero tolerance for research misconduct.
Inclusive Scholarship
Equitable treatment of submissions from all regions and institutions. APC waivers available for qualifying researchers from low-income countries.
Rapid Dissemination
From submission to first decision in 4–6 weeks. From acceptance to online publication in 2 weeks. We respect researchers' time.
Editorial Policies
Transparent, Rigorous, Ethical
IJournal operates under the highest standards of academic publishing. All policies comply with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and align with international best practice.
Peer Review
Double-blind review by a minimum of two independent experts. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the process.
Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts undergo iThenticate similarity screening before peer review. A similarity index above 20% will result in immediate rejection.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must declare any financial, personal, or professional interests that could influence their research findings or conclusions.
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make research data openly available. Data availability statements are required for empirical manuscripts.
Authorship Criteria
IJournal follows ICMJE authorship criteria. All listed authors must have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work.
Retraction Policy
Published articles may be corrected, retracted, or updated in accordance with COPE retraction guidelines when evidence of misconduct is found.

IJournal is a fully open-access journal. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. This means anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles — and use them for any other lawful purpose — without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, as long as appropriate credit is given.
We operate an Article Processing Charge (APC) model to sustain the costs of peer review management, copyediting, production, DOI registration, and permanent archiving. APC waivers and discounts are available for corresponding authors based at institutions in low-income and lower-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank.
